Chris Pierce is Strength and Conditioning Coach to the Halifax Mooseheads and Dalhousie University Men's hockey clubs.
Chris has spent the past 2 decades training hockey players on ice and off ice and has developed a comprehensive program which includes strength and conditioning, technical skating, skills, and hockey sense.
A graduate of Saint Mary's University, Chris completed his BSc. with a double major in Biology and Psychology. He is a certified hockey coach and strength coach. Chris draws on his education and experience to understand and solve problems when designing the best programs for his athletes.
In addition to his education and experience working with hockey players at all levels, Chris is frequently in contact with NHL and Major Junior Hockey Scouts and Coaches providing further insight into the attributes players require at those levels.
Cari is the President of Outside Edge Elite Training. In 2018, Cari was accepted into the NHL-led Executive MBA in Hockey Management (Certified Hockey Professional) program. She holds the distinction as the first female in North America to be working towards a Certified Hockey Professional in hockey management.
Cari completed an MBA in Marketing/HR and Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University. In addition, Cari is a certified Project Manager (PMP) and has completed programs at Queens University and Dalhousie University for Advanced Negotiation Training.
Cari is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Yoga Instructor. She has been actively involved in managing hockey teams and programs since 2011.
Sean has been a Strength Coach with Outside Edge for the past 2 years. Sean completed a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University.
During his time with Outside Edge, Sean has grown as a coach and has displayed excellent analytical and problem solving skills while working with our athletes.
In addition to his education and hockey experience as a player, Sean is a referee in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
Sean draws on his education, extensive hockey knowledge, and enthusiasm for strength and conditioning when designing and executing programs.
